ILOILO City – A 56-year-old fisherman was arrested yesterday in Barangay Bacay, Dumangas, Iloilo.
The police detained Ricardo Brillantes at the Dumangas police station around 6 a.m. for alleged indiscriminate firing of gun.
It was Brillantes’ younger brother Roger who alerted the police.
Responding police officers confiscated from the suspect an unlicensed .45 pistol and nine ammunitions.
According to the Dumangas police, Brillantes faces charges for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
It was unclear as of this writing where Brillantes got the gun and why he fired it./PN
