Shabu ‘pushers’ nabbed in Boracay

BORACAY — Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here.

Joebert Trompeta, 32, of Sara, Iloilo, and Ramon Baculinao, 36, of Dao, Capiz, sold suspected shabu to police poseur buyers for P1,000.

Operatives of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group and Boracay Tourist Assistance Center staged the operations.

Trompeta handed to an undercover operative suspected shabu at about 6 p.m. on Sunday in Barangay Manoc-Manoc.

Further seized from him were six plastic sachets of suspected shabu.

The suspect, who was temporarily staying at Bliss Site in Kalibo, Aklan, allegedly sources drugs from the town.

Baculinao was apprehended in a separate operation last week in Sitio Tulubhan, also in Manoc-Manoc village.

After “buying” a plastic sachet of suspected shabu from him, police further seized three sachets of shabu and a mobile phone containing text messages on drug transaction.

Trompeta and Baculinao were facing charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs. (Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
