ILOILO City – Five police officers of Culasi, Antique’s police station, Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group and 2nd Maneuver Platoon – Antique Provincial Public Safety Company received Medalya ng Papuri (Commendation Medal) in Camp Delgado.
The awardees were cited for arresting illegal drug suspect Clarence Jose “Dondon” Claro in a buy-bust operation.
The policemen were Senior Police Officer 4 Alberto Aguirre, Senior Police Officer 1 Arnel Cuadernal, Police Officer 2 Cyrell Valdevieso and Police Officers 1 Joseph Panolino and Romel Brenio.
The awarding was done on Dec. 14, two weeks after Claro was busted on Nov. 26, 2016 in Barangay Jalandoni, Culasi.
Meanwhile, the Police Regional Office 6 presented Certificates of Appreciation to Barangay Captain Rodelin Ronco, barangay tanods Lovito Amboy, Marcelo Ambi and Robert Patapat all from the village of Bagumbaya-Ilajas, Alimodian, Iloilo.
They were cited for preserving peace in their village during a commotion on Nov. 20, 2016. They arrested Ely Alimpuangan who ranked No. 7 in the Alimodian police’s list of suspected drug personalities.
The village watchmen also recovered a .45 Colt pistol with magazines and ammunitions./PN
