ILOILO City – Two days before Christmas, a 29-year-old woman was caught selling shabu.

Precious Joy Chavez of Barangay North Baluarte, Molo district had no idea that the persons she was selling a sachet of shabu for P300 were an undercover police officer and an operative of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

After the sale was consummated, Chavez was arrested and detained at the Molo police station on Dec. 23.

Five more plastic sachets of shabu were found in Chavez’s possession.

The suspect faces charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, specifically for illegal drug possession and peddling./PN
