ILOILO City – Less than three hours before the New Year, a 79-year-old woman crossing the street in Barangay Abangay, Dingle, Iloilo was hit by a motorcycle.
Remedios Salo of Barangay Pandan, Dingle died around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2016, said Senior Inspector Marvin Buenavista, municipal police chief.
The motorcycle driver, Refull Luntao, 26, and his back rider Elgen Luntao, 12, sustained minor injuries. They were residents of Barangay Capangian, Lambunao town.
According to Buenavista, the Luntaos did not need hospitalization./PN
