ILOILO City – This 2017, Bombo Radyo Philippines will further enhance its corporate social responsibility advocacies, programs and projects, declared the radio network’s president and chief executive officer, Margaret Ruth C. Florete.
In her State of the Network Address (SONA) during the opening of the ongoing annual Bombo Radyo Top-Level Management Conference (TLMC) at St. Clement’s Retreat House and Prayer Center in La Paz district, Florete recalled the success of the network’s corporate social responsibility projects such as Bombo Medico every July and Dugong Bombo every November, among others.
The TLMC of Bombo Radyo, the No. 1 radio network in the country, opened on Jan. 2 and will wrap up this Saturday.
Bombo Medico and Dugong Bombo will be sustained because these benefit many poor Filipinos, stressed Florete.
Bombo Radyo also resolved to continue innovating and creating cultural and special projects such as the newly-revived and highly-successful Ilonggo Music Festival: Ang Pamaskwa Musika sang Bombo Radyo kag Star FM that provided a venue for local composers to showcase their talents in songwriting.
Bombo’s five long decades of unparalleled service and dedication in the broadcast Industry was also attributed by Florete to the contribution of various hands and hearts of die-hard men and women that comprise the radio network’s top leadership.
The yearly top-level management conference – a five-day strategic planning session – intends to create a roadmap for the new year’s direction of the combined AM and FM Divisions of Bombo Radyo Philippines. That this is historically done in Iloilo showcases Bombo’s firm commitment to give the best to its listeners.
The conference is a gathering of veteran broadcasters with their wealth of experiences from all over the country.
As Bombo Radyo Philippines celebrates the golden anniversary (50 years) of its foundation from July 2016 to July 2017, this year’s conference delves into the various aspects of network operations and how these can be further enhanced to remain true to the theme, “50 Years of Relentless Service.”
The days and nights well-spent during this conference will be a learning curb for all delegates.
The entire proceedings are presided by the Chairman, Dr. Rogelio M. Florete, and the President and Chief Executive Officer, Margaret Ruth C. Florete.
The network’s best practices will gauge the result of operations for 2016 and will form the basis for ensuring better products and services for the listeners of the network.
Moreover, achievers will be identified and awarded in the highly awaited ceremonies culminating the conference, replete with prizes for the deserving officers.
Indeed, your favorite Bombo Radyo and Star FM stations will continue to innovate to remain relevant to the time, always ready to be of service to the country.
Basta Radyo…Bombo!/PN
