BACOLOD City – Three men had been shot in Sitio Utod, Barangay 1, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

Gerald De la Cruz, 17, Bernard Rivera, 23, and tricycle driver Daniel Polsolar survived but not without gunshot wounds on the arms, said Superintendent Rhea Santos, Kabankalan City police chief.

Police said the three allegedly mocked the shooter around 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9.

The shooter used a .45-caliber pistol. He remains unidentified, but from what the police have gathered, he was a retired soldier from Davao.

Rivera punched the suspect, prompting the latter to draw his gun and fire at them, police said.

Police went to where the suspect was staying but did not find him there./PN
