ILOILO City – Two men were hurt in a vehicular accident in Barangay Balabago, Jaro district.
Alex Eñelope and Rene Perez were from La Paz district. They were headed to Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo when their motorcycle hit a delivery van on Jan. 23 around 6 p.m.
Perez was driving the motorcycle. Police said he tried to overtake the delivery van that was about to turn right.
According to van driver Ernesto Pareñas, he was already signaling to turn right but the motorcycle was still maneuvering to overtake him.
Police said Eñelope and Perez admitted they were under the influence of liquor. They were taken to a hospital./PN
