ILOILO City – A 15-year-old house helper in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo claimed her policeman employer raped her.
It happened on Jan. 22, according to the girl who is now under the custody of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Barotac Nuevo.
Although the mother already filed an affidavit of non-interest in pursuing charges against the police officer, sources told Panay News the girl was insistent on suing her employer criminally.
The police officer, holding the rank of Police Officer 2, also faces administrative charges.
Barotac Nuevo police station deputy chief, Senior Police Officer 3 Jerson Demonteverde declined to comment on the case. He said the police station’s Women and Children Protection Desk is currently investigating the girl’s allegation.
The policeman’s wife is reportedly working abroad./PN
