ILOILO City – The city government donated a brand new L300 van to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6.

“PDEA has K9 dogs but could not move them easily. With the L300 van, it could bring the dogs to wherever it has antidrug operations,” said Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog.

The signing of the Deed of Donation was done Thursday last week at city hall.

PDEA’s dogs are trained to detect illegal drugs.

“The city government supports the serious campaign against illegal drugs,” Mabilog stressed.

PDEA regional director Gil Pabilona welcomed the donation.

“This would be very helpful in transporting the dogs. We are very thankful,” said Pabilona.

The regional director again thanked the city government for previous donations to PDEA such as motorcycles and infrastructure like the agency’s detention center.

Mabilog said the city government will continue to support PDEA./PN
