ILOILO City – A drunken man who threatened a woman was shot by a police officer in Barangay Linayasan, Altavas, Aklan.
Raymund Pacis, 33, was taken to the Altavas District Hospital on Sunday night.
It was unclear as of this writing if the woman, Rita Mendoza, would be suing Pacis.
Mendoza sought the police’s help around 11:45 p.m.
Police Officer 1 Reymer Martesano tried to arrest Pacis but the knife-wielding suspect tried to stab him. The cop was thus forced to shoot him./PN
