ILOILO City – In a parade of 15 lovely young ladies, one beauty stood out.
Elaine Segura, a native of Guimbal, Iloilo and a student from the University of the Philippines Visayas, nailed the Miss Paraw Regatta 2017 competition on Feb. 15 with her beauty and intelligence.
Segura, who was a crowd favorite, said she is thankful to have been crowned as Miss Paraw 2017. She is also looking forward to a new journey as a beauty queen and influencer to the youth.
“The moment I entered this competition … I know someone is prettier than me, someone walks finer than me. But I realized that there people in my back,” she said during the question and answer portion wherein she was asked why she should be the next Miss Paraw Regatta queen.
“And why do I believe that I will be the next Miss Paraw Regatta? I have this one asset that sets me apart from the other candidates and that is my ability to learn faster and the other one is the ability not to fail the people who believe in me,” she continued.
The other winners were Sainthia Joy Sorilla, first runner-up; Irra Shayn Laserna, second runner-up; Japril Maquiling, third runner-up; and Jocelle Carbolido, fourtj runner-up.
