BACOLOD City – Police arrested a Barangay Mansilingan resident possessing allegedly unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
Joint operatives from Police Station 7 and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Negros Occidental staged Oplan Paglalansag Omega against the 34-year-old Reynaldo Panuela.
They seized from him a .45 pistol with magazine and six bullets, a shotgun and a bundle of cash. He also surrendered four .38 revolvers allegedly belonging to a security agency. All the recoveries were with the CIDG.
Facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, Panuela was hauled to the Police Station 7 lockup cell after the Sunday operation, station commander Chief Inspector Charles Gever said./PN
