ILOILO City – While attending the court hearing for his theft case at the Chief Justice Ramon Q. Avanceña Hall of Justice on Bonifacio Drive here, the No. 9 most wanted man of Ajuy, Iloilo was served with an arrest warrant for yet another theft case.

The 50-year-old Edgardo Balquidang of Barangay Culasi, Ajuy was arrested by policemen around 10 a.m. yesterday.

According to Chief Inspector Charlie Sustento, Ajuy police chief, Balquidang was charged with three counts of qualified theft.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Juana Judita Panigbatan Nafarrete of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 38.  

As of this writing, it was unclear if the suspect was able to post bail – set by the court for P40,000 – for his temporary liberty./PN
