ILOILO City — Two more suspected drug dealers in Dumangas, Iloilo fell into a police dragnet in Barangay Manguit in the town.
Arrested were Arnel Dedoroy, 32, of Barangay Managuit and Wilfredo Dotoyato, 31, of Barangay Hardin.
Their arrest came after three other suspected drug dealers were collared in Barangay PD Monfort, also in Dumangas, on Monday.
Dedoroy and Dotoyato were arrested after selling a sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer for P500 at about 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
“They have been on our list of (suspected) drug pushers for a long time. They were too slippery. We are lucky we got them,” said Senior Inspector Charlie Sustento, municipal police chief.
Recovered from them were five sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
On Monday, Cherry Rose Baldonasa and her live-in partner, Nelson Orin, and their friend Ricky Villanueva of Barotac Nuevo yielded six sachets of shabu and a .38-caliber revolver.
Baldonasa, Orin and Villanueva were “high-value targets” who also operate in nearby towns, Sustento said.
They were detained in the lockup cell of Dumangas police station./PN
