BACOLOD City – Two minors drowned in the river of Purok Urban, Barangay Lopez Jaena, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
They were Hernsel Heridera, 14, of Barangay Sta. Cruz and Joebert Francisco, 15, of Barangay Salvacio, both in the same municipality.
Friday afternoon last week, they went swimming with nine other friends and relatives.
They were swept away by the strong river current, said Inspector Roger Ong, Murcia deputy police chief./PN
