ILOILO City – One was killed while one was injured in a road accident in Barangay Calajunan, Mandurriao district.
Rainier Bryan Evangelista, 25, and Samson Ong, 27, were on board a motorcycle when they hit a stockpile of coconut husks along the road around 10:10 p.m. Sunday.
They fell down to the cemented road, police said.
Evangelista was declared dead at the Western Visayas Medical Center due to head injury while Ong, the driver, sustained injuries on the head and body.
On Friday night, a motorcyclist was killed and his companion injured when their motorcycle crashed against a tree in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
The casualty was Nestor Villamor, 24, of Barangay Carmelo, Banate, Iloilo. His companion Rey Anthony Mendoza, 18, was treated at the Barotac Viejo District Hospital for abrasions.
According to Senior Police Officer 2 Bobby Gayaogao, the accident happened around 10:40 p.m. The victims were on their way home.
