ILOILO City – A lending collector, apparently a robbery victim, was found dead on a grassy field in Barangay Tabucan, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
The 28-year-old Marlon Sumbong of Barangay Guno, Santa Barbara, Iloilo had a stab wound on the chest and bruises on his head and body.
His wallet was gone but his cellular phone was recovered near his body.
Sumbong was a collector of Lita Finance Corp. based in Jaro, Iloilo City
“The victim might have been killed elsewhere and merely dumped in Barangay Tabucan,” said Senior Police Officer 3 Glenn Azucena of Barotac Nuevo.
Sumbong was last seen alive driving his motorcycle in Barangay Poblacion, Dumangas, Iloilo. He was supposedly going to Barangay P.D. Monfort./PN
