BACOLOD City – Police were still trying to identify the suspects in robbing and killing a cargo truck driver in Purok 2, Barangay Pingot, Ilog, Negros Occidental.
Three suspects attacked Gilbert Amorato, 38, of Sitio Guset, Barangay Pingot.
Amorato died of multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the Lorenzo Zayco Memorial District Hospital.
He was driving his truck on March 11 when the three bonnet-wearing suspects flagged him down, police investigation showed.
They divested him of P15,000 he borrowed from a lending company and fled on board a motorcycle./PN
