AND here we are “ticking away the moments that make up a dull day waiting for someone or something to show you the way” so before it turns into a “momentary lapse of reason”, some random thoughts seemingly unrelated. But like jazz it’s a fusion of improvisation and the avant-garde that will all come together in the end.
It looks like the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon” shot themselves in the foot again. They posted and even quoted on social media Duterte’s message re: Ninoy Aquino’s supposed martyrdom. I thought they don’t believe nor agree with whatever he’s saying, now it seems that his statement is the “authority” on Ninoy Aquino.
Won’t it be lovely if the next president is either Sara Duterte, Manny Pacquiao or Bongbong Marcos? Anyone of them would piss off to no end the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon”, Frappuccino-infused social-climbing so-called millennials and make them squirm in their Marks and Spencer knickers and, of course, the sleepless nights plus waking up every morning for six years to either a Sara, Manny or Bongbong presidency.
Just because Leni Robredo has a vagina like the rest of the female leaders of countries who performed well against COVID-19 does not automatically guarantee she will also perform well. It’s like saying Florin Hilbay can also play football like Lionel Messi or basketball like LeBron James just because he also happens to have a penis like those two superb athletes.
Seriously, what kind of parents would name their sons Florin or Erin?
The virus COVID-19 has no brain, we humans have. Unfortunately some Filipinos don’t realize they have one. Instead of following protocols to stop the spread of the virus what they do is rant on ABS-CBN’s expired franchise and their hatred for Duterte.
And by the way, the virus COVID-19 does not move; it needs to infect people to move. So to stop the chain of infection we need to stay home. That’s the purpose of the quarantine. Unfortunately some people are not aware of that.
A friend who’s a doctor and a soldier asked me to post this for him:
The enemy is at the gates and we frontliners are our country’s last line of defence. We don’t just ask for a timeout, it’s not a football game, it’s war. We know what we signed in for and this is our finest moment. We die with our boots and PPEs on for our people, for our country.
All this brouhaha happening now is not about love of country or concern for the Filipino people; it’s all about oust Duterte.
Filipinos should stop behaving like Americans because by far we are better educated and much more civilized than them.
It does not matter if you’re a man, woman, lesbian, homosexual, transgender, Catholic, Muslim, Protestant, black, white or brown; if you’re an asshole ,you’re an asshole.
If it rains it pours. It looks like erstwhile power provider of “I Am Iloilo City” Panay Electric Co. or PECO has been hit with another legal whammy. It lost almost all its appeals in court. Just recently, a joint decision by the Department of Justice prosecutors on charges of conspiracy and falsification of public documents filed by PECO against its critics was “dismissed for utter lack of merit”, clearing respondents former councilors Joshua Alim and Plaridel Nava II along with Dr. Marigold Gonzales and Jane Javellana.
While we’re at it, after PECO’s franchise expired and they lost their Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity and business permit, it seems they have now diversified. They are no longer into the power distribution thing; they are now in social media and in the used car business which is good. All of that could be just a blessing in disguise. After all, as Forrest Gump once said, “Llife is like a box of chocolates, you’ll never know what you’re gonna get.”
Apollo Quiboloy was born a mere mortal yet he truly believes he’s the appointed son of God. That’s his belief and right guaranteed by the Constitution, which also guarantees that he cannot impose that belief upon us and it works just fine.
Meanwhile you were born with a penis and a pair of testicles and despite this you truly believe that you’re a woman notwithstanding the fact that you have no vagina and ovaries.
That belief is also guaranteed by the Constitution but the same Constitution also guarantees that you cannot impose that belief upon us.
What’s between your legs determine what your sex is, not what you fancy yourself to be.
In the same manner, an Assumption education is a privilege and not a right. If you don’t accept the catechism of the Catholic Church to which the school adheres to and is protected and guaranteed by the Constitution, you’re free to go somewhere else.
