SEX is always good, in fact great if you start first with a rather extensive foreplay, arousing your partner into the proper mood, building a crescendo of moist tingling sensations all coming together into a climax.
And the same also applies to writing a column or a story. The parallel is obvious. You get your readersâ attention then make it more interesting as you go along to what the story is really all about.
It always starts with foreplay, sustaining it till the climax.
Itâs awfully considerate of you to think of me here

that Iâm not hereâŚ
Me thinks that the yellowsâ and pseudo-communistsâ latest necropolitics prop, âBaby Riverâ, was borne out of âimmaculate conceptionâ as in the midst of this circus, the father is conspicuously nowhere to be found.
Itâs quite obvious that what âBaby Riverâ needed was a good set of parents.

âTeachersâ swimming raging river waters to deliver modules, sitting on rooftops in the midday sun just to get WiFi signal, and the latest, climbing a fence for the elusive WiFi signalâŚReally, and you expect us to believe your stunts?
What those âteachersâ needed was a bit more creativity and common sense, not an obvious display of the âvictim cardâ.

So Mar Roxas will retire from politics, says Korina Sanchez. He will not be missed.
And the reason why Mar Roxas is retiring from politics is because Korina Sanchez vehemently refuses to be a martyr.
There is no truth to the rumor that Mar Roxas has express interest to apply for the job of Danny Lim as chairman of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and that heâs willing to start as a traffic aide.

It is not fair to compare LeBron James with Michael Jordan. For sure LeBron is a great player but Michael Jordan is a far superior player.

A gentleman will walk but never run. Of course, this does not apply to Peter Alan Cayetano or Lord Allan Velasco.

And we segue to A Saucerful of Secrets, the second studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on June 29, 1968 by EMI Columbia in the United Kingdom and on July 27, 1968 in the United States by Tower Records.
During recording, the mental health of singer and guitarist Syd Barrett declined, so David Gilmour was recruited to complement him. Barrett left before the albumâs completion.
While Pink Floydâs debut album, Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967), had been driven by Barrett as the bandâs leader and principal songwriter, A Saucerful of Secrets drew more diverse influences, with every member contributing songwriting and lead vocals.
Gilmour appeared on all but two songs, while Barrett contributed to three.
Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun is the only song on which all five members appeared together.
The mental health of guitarist Syd Barrett was deteriorating. He was often unresponsive and would not play, leading to the cancellation of several performances and their first US tour. Until finally in December 1967, reaching a crisis point with Barrett, Pink Floyd added guitarist David Gilmour as the fifth member.
The group planned that Gilmour would âcover for [Barrettâs] eccentricitiesâ. When this proved unworkable, Syd was just going to write. Just to try to keep him involved.
On Jan. 26, 1968, when the band was driving to a show at Southampton University, they decided not to pick up Barrett.
Barrett was finally ousted in late January 1968, leaving the band to finish the album without him.
And you thought we were going to talk about some juicy bedroom stories of some politicians as thereâs plenty to be had. But weâd rather not as most of these are quite unremarkable and in poor taste.
Believe me, it will not turn you on. Youâd much rather puke in disgust.
What makes a Saucerful of Secrets remarkable is that this is the album that proved to be the turning point of Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett almost incapacitated.
With the entry of David Gilmour taking over as lead guitarist, the music of Pink Floyd metamorphosed from the whimsical almost pop-rock ditties of Syd Barrett into the progressive jazz/blues psychedelic rock that they are today.
The child is grown the dream is gone, I have become comfortably numb⌠And we end with acknowledgements to Pink Floyd and Sting./PN
