The air crackled with excitement and camaraderie as 214 golfers from Iloilo and across the country descended upon the verdant fairways of the Iloilo Golf and Country Club (IGCCI) on February 15, 2025.
The “KuryenTee Anniversary Golf Tournament,” organized by MORE Power, was more than just a game. It was a powerful symbol of the company’s commitment to not only powering Iloilo City but also uplifting its communities, a celebration of a brighter future, a testament to the spirit of giving, and a tribute to the remarkable journey of MORE Power as it marked its 5th anniversary of operation in Iloilo City.
The event served as a platform for sharing blessings, with 18 foundations and non-government organizations receiving a generous donation of 4,600,000 pesos from MORE Power contractors and suppliers.
As the golfers swung their clubs, their actions echoed the spirit of MORE Power – a spirit of progress, generosity, and a deep-seated commitment to building a brighter future for Iloilo.
“It’s not an ordinary golf tournament,” explained Roel Castro, President and CEO of MORE Power, his voice brimming with pride. “We’ve been working tirelessly for the past five years to rehabilitate and modernize the distribution system in Iloilo City, and we’ve made significant progress. We’ve reduced outages, minimized pilferage, and lowered system losses. Now, we can take a moment for fun and share our success with those who need it most.”
MORE Power’s commitment extends far beyond providing electricity. The company has consistently demonstrated a deep-rooted dedication to community service, partnering with various organizations to uplift the lives of Ilonggos. The KuryenTee Anniversary Golf Tournament was a powerful embodiment of this commitment, with the generous donations bringing hope and support to those in need.
The KuryenTee Anniversary Golf Tournament wasn’t just a celebration of a milestone; it was a powerful statement of MORE Power’s enduring commitment to powering not just homes and businesses but also the dreams and aspirations of the Ilonggo people. It was a swing for a brighter Iloilo, a testament to the power of collaboration, and a reminder that even amid success, the true measure of a company lies in its dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.
