A TASTE OF ITALY IN ILOILO

The Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA) and the Italian Embassy in the Philippines are putting the spotlight on the beauty of Italian art to celebrate the Museums and Galleries Month this October with a splendid showcase entitled La Vita nell’Arte: An Exhibition on Life and Art. The event features curated works from The Edwin V. Valencia Collection as well as artworks from Italian artists and other Italian-inspired themes. Also featured in the showcase are pieces by international artists with styles and subjects based on famous European artworks, like Michelangelo’s frescoes and Leonardo da Vinci’s murals. Shown in photo gracing the launch of the exhibit hosted at ILOMOCA in Iloilo Business Park were (from left to right) Mr. Guinell Flores (General Manager, Philippine-Italian Association) Ms. Joan Paulette Liboon (Museum Manager, ILOMOCA), Amb. Davide Giglio (Ambassador of Italy to the Philippines), Ms. Phoebe Areño (Asst. Regional Director, Department of Tourism Region VI), and Mr. Edwin Valencia (Board Member, ILOMOCA Museum Advisory Board).
