ANTIQUE – As of Monday, Jan. 16, this province had 40 active cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
These were from the towns of San Jose (seven), Hamtic (six), Patnongon (five), Sibalom (four), Valderrama (four), Culasi (two), Laua-an (three), Belison (two), Tibiao (two), Tobias Fornier (two), Barbaza (one), Caluya (one), and Libertad (one).
No active cases were logged in the towns of Anini-y, Pandan, San Remigio, Bugasong, and Sebaste.
Irene Duldoco, Health Education and Promotion Officer of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), reminded everyone to not be complacent.
“Padayun ang reminders sa tanan nga wala nabakunahan nga magpabakuna. Kag sa tanan nga wara maka-avail kang anda booster, magpa-booster dun. Inyo man makita sa national TV or national news may mga gina-ekspektar nga sub-variant sang Omicron nga mas makalalaton and makamamatay,” Duldoco said.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, Antique recorded 10,220 cases of which 9,786 recovered and 394 died.
