Acts of desperation and other stuff

WE’RE SEEING pathetic acts of desperation from the usual suspects i.e. “useful idiots”, pseudo-communists and the rest of the trendy social climbers a.k.a. “wokes” who were self-inflicted with “red tagging” – something they conjured out of thin air; the leftists’ version of the “victim card”.

Acts of desperation are usually the losers go to defense mechanisms when they know but cannot accept that whatever nonsense they’re espousing is lost, at best irrelevant and obsolete – the more than 50 years of communist insurgency.

The latest of these desperate acts, and probably the most stupid, are from Kabataan party-list’s Rep. Raoul Manuel. As expected, he did his “thing” on social media, of course not in the same manner as Jim Paredes. A bit more “wholesome” but just as stupid.

In a social media post on April 7, Manuel accused the Philippine Army’s 80th Infantry Battalion of threatening families in Montalban, Rizal with aerial bombings should they refuse to evacuate and leave their homes and livelihood. This same post also appeared in Kabataan party-list’s Facebook page and as well as other well-known front organizations of the CPP/NPA/NDF. Those statements are not only ridiculous but utterly absurd, a pathetic act of desperation.

In a press statement, the NTF-ELCAC’s Legal Cooperation Cluster (LCC) chided Manuel for spreading “deceitful” and “blatant lies”, stressing that no member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines “would ever violate their rules on engagement, or plan or threaten to conduct an aerial bombardment or artillery shelling on civilian communities.”

Also in that statement, the LCC enjoined the Committee on Ethics and Privileges of the House of Representatives to initiate an investigation on Manuel’s “malicious and false imputation, threat, and spreading of false news that endangers public order, erodes the public’s confidence towards our state security forces, and undermines the State, particularly the AFP and of the House of Representatives.”

Manuel is facing a string of administrative and criminal charges for spreading “fake news” courtesy of the Office of the Solicitor General and the NTF-ELCAC’s Legal Cooperation Cluster.

Let’s segue to the other stuff:

The Philippines’ improved ranking in the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) proves that the government is “on the right track” in fighting insurgency, according to the National Security Council (NSC).

The Philippines is the 18th most affected by terrorism among 163 countries in this year’s edition of the GTI, a report produced by think tank Institute for Economics and Peace that analyzes the impact of terrorism worldwide. The country’s ranking improved from 17th last year.

“This could only mean one thing: the Philippine government is on the right track and by that we shall continue all counter-insurgency efforts we started years back, focusing mainly on our local peace initiatives and good governance espoused by NTF-ELCAC.

And the CPP/NPA/NDF is the 15th most deadliest terrorist organization in the world, according to the IEP Institute for Economic and Peace 2023 and Global Terrorist Index 2023. Indeed, an accomplishment after 54 years of atrocities inflicted on the Filipino people.

Meanwhile, Eric Jun Casilao, a top leader of the CPP/NPA/NDF. was arrested in Malaysia.

Casilao is the secretary of the Southern Mindanao Regional Committee and Central Committee member of the CPP/NPA/NDF and has a P5.4-million bounty on his head.

According to the AFP, this arrest seals the collapse of the communist insurgency in the Davao Region.

Finally just in time, Vice President Sara Duterte has called on the Marcos administration “not to fall into the trap” of holding peace talks with the CPP/NPA/NDF as it would only give legitimacy to the absurdity of the terrorism they perpetrate./PN
