MANILA – Kaya Futbol Club–Iloilo is adamant in maintaining its hold as the leader of the bracket in the 2020 Asian Football Confederation Cup group stage when it clashes against Indonesian club PSM Makassar in Jakarta, Indonesia at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon.

The Ilonggo football team is currently leading Group H with four points made on a win against Myanmar’s Shan United (2-0) and a scoreless draw against Singapore’s Tampines rovers on Feb. 26.

Kaya-Iloilo head coach Oliver Colina said that his wards had a great training in the past few days en route to a tough war against PSM Makassar, which is expected to draw strength from thousands of its home crowd.

“PSM Makassar is one of the strongest team in our group so we really prepared hard for this match,” Colina said. “Individually, their players were good so we really study their style of play.”

“Even if some of our players were nursing injuries, we are confident that we can win this match,” he added. “Our goal is to get that three points in Jakarta and our mindset is the same as in our previous matches.”

PSM Makassar currently stands in the third spot of the group with three points from a win and a defeat. Its victory was at the expense of Shan United too by dominating 3-1./PN
