BACOLOD City – Authorities have been looking for two cousins charged with murder for 13 years.
Jason Mahinay Lindayao and Joven Serapin Lindayao were finally arrested in Barangay Masulog II, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Officers served them a warrant of arrest at around 5 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Both 35-year-old married laborers, the suspects were residents of Barangay Masulog II, La Castellana, said Chief Inspector Irma Teoxon, municipal police head.
Judge Renato Muñez (retired), then presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 60, issued the warrant on July 21, 2005 yet. He did not set a bail bond.
It was not immediately clear where the crime was committed.
Officers from the La Castellana police station and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Region 6 arrested the suspects in a joint operation./PN
