BACOLOD City – A murder suspect, who had been hiding from the police for about 14 years, was nabbed in Barangay San Fernando, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The 53-year-old resident Romel Riofrer was arrested on the strength of an arrest warrant around 10 a.m. on March 4, a police report showed.
Judge Reynaldo Alon of the Regional Trial Court Branch 40 in Silay City issued the warrant.
Riofrer was detained in the lockup cell of the Talisay City police station.
No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
