AFTER visiting Davao City, actress Angel Locsin on Saturday flew to North Cotabato to continue giving out aid to victims of a series of strong earthquakes that rocked Mindanao this past week.

In photos shared by a certain Flora Mae Montes Basiliote, “The General’s Daughter star was spotted distributing relief goods to residents of Makilala town as one of the quake-affected areas in Cotabato.

For her part, Angel, who came with her fiancé Neil Arce, on Sunday posted a video of a resident pleading for aid from the national government in the aftermath of a 6.5-magnitude quake that hit Cotabato, destroying buildings in Davao and nearby provinces and leaving five dead and nine injured.

The earthquake happened just two days after a magnitude 6.6 tremor struck the same area, reportedly killing at least eight people and injuring around 50.

Meanwhile, Angel, an active volunteer, also took to Instagram to express her appreciation to Philippine Red Cross (PRC) for immediately responding to the needs of quake-affected families in Mindanao.

First time to see this PRC soup-kitchen food truck,” captioned the Kapamilya star to a photo of her posing by one of their food trucks in Davao.

“Thumbs up to Philippine Red Cross for coming up with innovative ways to serve the people better. #proudvolunteerhere,” she added. (Push)
