“DARNA” star Liza Soberano, whose resemblance to K-pop performer Nancy of Momoland has been the subject of viral posts, delighted fans recently when she tried a few dance steps from the group’s international hit “BBoom BBoom.”
Soberano, 20, was on stage during the 40th anniversary celebration of a beauty brand she endorses, when she was made to perform a portion of the pop hit’s choreography. She was accompanied by her onscreen partner and rumored boyfriend, Enrique Gil, to the event held at the World Trade Center in Pasay.
A clip of the moment, tweeted by @AvonPH, easily made the rounds online, as it was reposted by several fan pages dedicated to Soberano and Gil, collectively known as “LizQuen.”
“BBoom BBoom,” which has generated among Filipinos an online dance challenge, has also become a staple in local radio stations as well as TV shows.
The group behind the song, Momoland, includes a member, Nancy, who recently shared a video of her reacting to her supposed resemblance to Soberano.
In that clip, she appeared to agree with fellow members that she and Soberano are look-alikes, an observation frequently mentioned by mutual fans on their social media channels. (ABS-CBN News)
