BACOLOD City – The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) will lunch agriculture-centered activities at the 26th Panaad sa Negros Festival 2019.
According to OPA, livestock and poultry associations will convene for the Panaad sa Negros Livestock and Dairy Fair to feature development and progress of the livestock and poultry industry in Negros Occidental on April.
More local government units (LGUs) also committed participation in the animal exhibits.
“Collaboration between the government and the academe is indispensable towards the development of students engage in animal science related courses and the progress and sustainability of animal industry in the province,” cited on OPA’s press statement.
The OPA believes the activity will promote schools offering agriculture-related courses, eventually producing competent future veterinarians and agriculturists.
Other events will delve on seminars relevant to farm management, animal health, nutrition and diseases, game fowl and poultry management.
Contests such as composo, binalaybay, inter-school livestock and poultry quiz show, pet parade, Pasidungog sang mga Manug-Sagod sang Kasapatan, and showcase of pet animals from private and public sectors will also be part of the highlights.
PVO District Veterinarians will serve as tour guides to those who will visit the Livestock and Dairy Fair at Panaad Park and Stadium during the week-long celebration. (With a report from PIA/PN)
