THE PAST week mainstream media has been bombarding the natives with what seems to be a concerted effort to make President Rodrigo Duterte look from bad to worst. It’s not news anymore as they have been doing that from day one of his presidency.

This time, however, there seems to be another purpose aside from bringing him down, there was a sense of urgency.

Let’s start with this: a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey came out that President Duterte’s popularity rating went down from 75 percent to 60 percent. As if on cue, that “national nuisance” Antonio Trillanes immediately released a statement to mainstream media that this is the start of President Rodrigo Duterte’s fall.

Really, you mounted a coup d’état against then President Gloria Arroyo with a popularity rating of negative 11 percent and all you achieved was being pulled out by the police holding on to your drawers after occupying the Manila Peninsula Hotel for a few hours; you surrendered without firing a shot.

Do you really think Duterte gives a shit abut popularity? Popular or not he’s still the president and you’re not.

Then we have an Akbayan-sponsored presscon complete with photo-op of supposedly “European parliamentarians” holding placards protesting against who else but Duterte.

The photo of these “European parliamentarians” was published on the front page of the Philippine Daily Inquirer; of course it has to be the Philippines Daily Inquirer.

Manila Times columnist Bobi Tiglao comments: “What’s shocking is that these foreigners in the PDI photo don’t even represent their countries, and don’t have any substantial European constituency. They are mostly small-time but noisy NGO activists in their countries.

“It was Akbayan which organized the event, made the mini-placards, and invited the press. It was a propaganda project to paint a false picture that all of Europe is protesting human rights violations in the country.”

It turned out that all of these dramatics and noise was meant to put pressure on the Supreme Court and the Duterte government as something was about to be decided in the Supreme Court which will greatly affect Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima.

Here are excerpts from the Oct. 10, 2017 GMA News report:

De Lima stays in detention as SC junks bid to nullify arrest

“Detained Senator Leila de Lima on Tuesday failed to convince the Supreme Court (SC) to nullify her arrest for one of the three drug-related cases filed against her over the proliferation of illegal drugs at the New Bilibid Prison during her term as Justice Secretary.

“Voting 9 to 6, the high court dismissed for lack of merit De Lima’s petition that questioned the issuance of an arrest warrant by Judge Juanita Guerrero of the Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court Branch 204 last February.

“And that was what the fuss was all about Leila “frailties of a woman” De Lima has petitioned the high court to transfer her case to the Sandigan Bayan and not the Regional Trial Court or RTC.

“She was questioning the jurisdiction of the RTC and saying it was not the proper venue, of course she was denied by the high court.”

However, in a bizarre twist two very prominent members of the legal profession posted their own versions where the proper court venue for Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima should be.

Canada-based lawyer Nela Jalbuena Tan said in her Facebook post “the proper court for Leila de Lima is Victoria Court.”

For the uninitiated, Victoria Court is a chain of drive-in motels in Metro Manila more popularly known for their “short time” and themed rooms where one can act out their fantasies, sexual or otherwise.

Yes, Victoria Court is indeed the perfect setting or venue for Leila ‘frailties of a woman” de Lima. She can be all that she can be with her expertise on the “saging na saba” as a dilido.

Meanwhile here in “I Am Iloilo City” popular lawyer par excellence Dan Cartagena concurred with his colleague Nela Jalbuena Tan and further added that Queen’s Court has concurrent jurisdiction over Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima.

Again for the uninitiated, Queen’s Court is a drive-in motel here in “I Am Iloilo City” also known for their “short time” feature but it does not have specialty rooms like Victoria Court; it is a “low-end” version.

Should the high court decide to transfer jurisdiction of Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima to either or both of these courts then it is advisable not to do it during the month of February as they are filled to capacity particularly before, during and the day after Valentine’s Day which is Feb. 14.

It is also notable that during those days mentioned a certain “publicity whore”, a priest by the name of Fr. Robert Reyes, runs around drive-in motel like Victoria Court and knocks on rooms forcing occupants to go out.

This publicity stunt of Fr. Robert Reyes will disturb and greatly affect the performance of Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima so it is best that she be transferred jurisdiction to these two courts outside of the month of February.

So there, ahay, Leila. (brotherlouie16@gmail.com/PN)
