ILOILO City – An airport security guard was found dead in a boardinghouse in Barangay Duyan-Duyan, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
The 46-year-old Calinog, Iloilo resident Joven Cataluña committed suicide, according to the police, citing a note they found.
Cataluña was found by his fellow boarder hanging with a cord tied around his neck inside their rented room around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a police report showed.
According to investigation, Cataluña’s lover broke up with him, which was believed to have triggered the suicide.
The police ruled out foul play in his death.
