ILOILO City – Louie Barbona has been wanted in Ajuy, Iloilo for a rape charge, a police report showed.
Police arrested the 51-year-old suspect in Barangay Taloc, Bago City, Negros Occidental where he also lived.
Barbona was listed as the No. 9 most wanted person at the Ajuy police station.
Police said they have been searching for him for nine years already.
Officers from Ajuy served him a warrant of arrest at around 8 a.m. Monday.
Judge Rogelio Amador of the Regional Trial Court Branch 66 issued the warrant and did not set a bail bond.
Barbona was detained at the Bago City police station and set to be transferred to the Ajuy police station this week./PN
