KALIBO, Aklan – Police Colonel Ramir Perlito Perlas is the new director of the Aklan Police Provincial Office. He replaced Police Colonel Esmeraldo Osia.
The turnover of command ceremony was held at Camp Delgado, headquarters of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) in Iloilo City, on Jan. 20 although the order designating Perlas as Aklan police director took effect on Jan. 15 yet.
Osia, who headed the Aklan Police Provincial Office for one year, seven months and 18 days, was transferred to the PRO-6 Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit.
Perlas promised to do his best to uphold the standard set by the PRO-6 and Philippine National Police (PNP).
“I will lead the PNP personnel of Aklan in the fight against illegal drugs, insurgency and all forms of criminality,” said Perlas.
Police Brigadier General Rolando Miranda, PRO-6 director, presided the turnover of command ceremony.
“To Colonel Perlas, ipagpatuloy mo lang ang mabuting ginawa ni Colonel Osia. Work progressively to achieve our common goal – a safer and orderly Aklan,” said Miranda.
Osia thanked the provincial government of Aklan for giving him the opportunity to serve.
He likewise cited the “dedicated, strong and gallant men and women” of the Aklan Police Provincial Office./PN
