AKLAN – The Aklan provincial police force joined the 9th Aklan Provincial Rescuelympics in Barangay Calancang, Makato town from April 17 to 19.
Renowned for their unwavering service and dedication, the Aklan Police Provincial Office said their participation not only showcased their readiness to respond to any emergency situations but also underscored their ongoing efforts to improve their skills.
Raul Fernandez, director of the Office of Civil Defense Region 6, graced the opening ceremony on April 17.
“Rescuelympics is not just a competition, it’s a testament to the relentless commitment and passion, it’s a platform to showcase skills and camaraderie. It also promotes team work, professionalism and learning,” said Fernandez.
The annual “rescuelympics” highlights the skills and preparedness of various rescue teams of the province. It serves as a testament to the dedication and commitment of local heroes in ensuring the safety and welfare of the Aklan community.
Participating teams competed in a variety of rescue-related competitions in four categories: inter-municipality, inter-school, inter-response agency, and inter-college./PN
