KALIBO, Aklan – The provincial government here started its preparations for next year’s Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) Meet.
Gov. Florencio Miraflores on Monday said he ordered several personnel for the preparation of the Aklan Sports Complex in Barangay Calangcang, Makato, Aklan.
The provincial government already submitted its intent to host the regional event with the Department of Education regional office in Iloilo City early this year.
Hundreds of athletes coming from provinces and cities of Negros Occidental, Iloilo, Antique, Guimaras, and Capiz are expected to gather here to compete in different sports disciplines.
The province also hosted WVRAA in 2010./PN
