AKLAN – The No. 9 most wanted person in this province was arrested in Barangay New Buswang, Kalibo at about 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Jomar Y. Guevara, 27, a security guard, was a resident of Barangay Lo-ong, Concepcion, Iloilo.
He was also the No. 7 most wanted person in Malay, Aklan.
The suspect had an arrest warrant dated Nov. 20, 2022, for violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Acting Presiding Judge Bienvenido P. Barrios, Jr. of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 7, set bail at P200,000.
Police said Guevera was involved in a grave coercion incident in Boracay Island on June 19, 2022, with his companion, Carlos E. Inggo, who was arrested on Nov. 11, 2022./PN
