EMPOY Marquez and Alessandra de Rossi starred in the sleeper hit “Kita Kita” which was so successful that it earned P300 million. The 2017 movie, shot in various locations in Japan, was made with a budget of only P10 million. This year, the onscreen tandem dubbed as “Alempoy” are reunited in another film, as shared by producer Piolo Pascual.
In his post on March 5, Piolo wrote, “Proud to share the news! After years of development and years of waiting, they’re back with another original story… From the same team that brought you ‘Kita Kita,’ an Amazon Original movie, ‘Walang KaParis,’ starring Alessandra De Rossi and Empoy Marquez, is coming to Prime Video on March 23…!”
“Walang KaParis” is written and directed by Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo and produced by Spring Films and Viva Films.
Last November, Empoy and Alessandra first hinted at working together again when they both posted selfies with each other on their respective Instagram accounts.
In her trademark offbeat sense of humor, Alessandra shared how happy she was to be paired again with Empoy: “Ang pagbabalik ng economy class tandem, na tatalunin ang pa-world class! Walang ganun! Kami na to! We’re back and we’re back to back!” (PUSH)
