AFTER experiencing multiple miscarriages, celebrity couple Alex Gonzaga and Mikee Morada remained hopeful as they wished to be blessed with “healthy babies” in their recent Taiwan trip.
Gonzaga gave a glimpse of their Taiwan trip last February where they released a wish lantern into the sky on Shifen Old Street. “Healthy babies for me and Mikee,” Gonzaga wrote their wish on one side of the lantern.
In her caption, the actress-vlogger expressed her gratitude to her husband for making the time to be with her on the trip.
“Last February we had a quick trip to Taiwan after everything that happened. Kahit sobrang busy nakapaglaan pa rin ang asawa ko ng ganitong oras. Thank you [@mikee_mo] at sorry dahil pabebe asawa mo,” she wrote.
In the comments section, fans and celebrity friends echoed the wish of the couple.
“This year! By God’s grace,” wrote Emmeline Yan Aglipay.
“Always praying for you,” commented Lauren Uy.
In January, Morada revealed that his wife suffered a third miscarriage in late 2024 because of a “blighted ovum,” a condition that happens when a fertilized egg implants in a woman’s uterus but fails to develop into an embryo.
Gonzaga and Morada tied the knot in 2020 in a home ceremony. The following year, she suffered her first miscarriage followed by another in 2023.
Despite the challenges to conceive, the couple declared on multiple occasions that they believed they would welcome their first child at the right time. (Jessica Ann Evangelista © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
