AFTER earning her own money in college when she first joined showbiz, Alex Gonzaga shared what her shopping habits were before she got married to Mikee Morada.
“Talagang totally shopaholic (laughs). Alam niyo naman bunso ako tapos una laging nabili ‘yung panganay tapos ‘yung mga pinaglumaan na niya sa ‘yo… So nung kumikita ako talagang winawaldas ko talaga ‘yun sa mga bagay bagay. Pero buti na lang kinu-kuwestiyon niya ako ‘pag bumibili ako ng mga kung anu-ano so kahit papaano na-ko-control ko,” Gonzaga shared.
After getting married, Alex said her husband Mikee Morada has been a big influence in changing how she shops. Even though she said she is far from being considered “domesticated” yet, Gonzaga said she has started doing things like shopping and cooking for her husband.
“Laging for two ang binibili ko ngayon. Lalong lalo na ang favorite niyang bilhin ngayon, kasi ang asawa ko ay very practical talaga,” she said.
She revealed the best shopping advice that her husband gave her.
“Ang natutunan ko kay Mikee ever since magjowa pa lang kami, ‘pag may gustong bilhin si Mikee, whether it be big purchase or small purchase, hindi niya binibili agad. Pinag-iisipan niya ng 3,000 times,” Gonzaga shared.
Now that almost all their shopping is done online because of the pandemic, Alex said her husband encourages her to follow the same shopping rule.
She said: “‘Pag nag-online shopping ako like now, kunyari may appliance ka na gusto lalo na ‘yung mga electronic, i-add to cart ko na lang daw muna (laughs). ‘Add to cart mo tapos balikan mo lang ng balikan (laughs). ‘Pag gusto mo pa rin siya in mga three weeks, mga two weeks, ‘yun na. Bilhin mo na.’” (Push)
