ILOILO City – A 21-year-old man from Alimodian, Iloilo sustained cuts and bruises on the head after two men ganged up on him near an eatery on Oñate Street, Mandurriao district yesterday.
Regie Tuyo told the Mandurriao police he did not know who his attackers were. He was walking in front of May Eatery around 2 a.m. when the men mauled him and fled toward an unknown direction.
Iloilo City Response Team personnel treated Tuyo — a resident of Barangay Laylayan, Alimodian, Iloilo — at the district police station and advised him to seek further treatment at the nearby Western Visayas Medical Center.
Police identified one suspect as Jerry Malik, 21, of Barangay Pali Benedicto, Mandurriao. The other one remained unidentified as of this writing./PN
