Fifty-seven of the active cases are being quarantined in the island, five are quarantined in Iloilo City while four others are confined in hospitals in the city.

On May 17, Gov. Samuel Gumarin issued Executive Order (EO) No. 19 cancelling Manggahan Festival 2021 events that have the potential of becoming COVId-19 super spreaders.

These events were the Manggahan Ride (bikes and motorcycles), Manggahan Sports Fest, Agri-Trade Fair, press conference, and Manggahan by the Beach.

There will be, however, a virtual Manggahan Festival (activities to be streamed on social media). This features the “Butlak Guimaras Specials” mini-documentaries, Mobile Legends tournament, and winning videos of the vlog-making contest.

The highlight is the State of the Province Address (SOPA) of Gumarin on May 22./PN
