ILOILO City – A British man living in Alta Tierra Village, Jaro district reported to the police that his house may have been ransacked.
John David Weston, 79, lived on Lot 10, Block 10, Phase 5 at the Main Avenue of the subdivision in Barangay Quintin Salas.
He told the Jaro police station he discovered on March 2 that his keys for a studio room and the main gate and his passport (No. GBR 514447207) have gone missing, a police report stated.
Weston said he also found out that the padlocks at their main gate and the door grills on the second story have been changed, and his refrigerator unplugged and the freezer inside defrosted.
He further said he discovered, too, that he had a P10,000 automated teller machine (ATM) withdrawal despite not using his ATM card.
According to Weston, his house help Elvira Cuentro told him that someone entered the house when he was away.
Weston said Cuentro identified the person as Arthur Baylosis of Mahogany Street, San Jose Subdivision, Barangay Tagbac, Jaro.
