Altercation turns into shooting

BACOLOD City – A heated argument turned into a shooting in Barangay Tangub, police said.

The 38-year-old Jose Albes Pabores allegedly shot the 40-year-old Gadiel Montecastro using a .38-caliber gun around 9 p.m. on Monday.

Officers from Police Station 8 said the two were having an altercation when the incident happened. But it was not immediately clear what triggered the argument.

Montecastro sustained injuries on the left hand. He was brought to a hospital in this city where he was treated.

Pabores, on the other hand, was arrested and detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 8./PN
