KALIBO, Aklan – Never stop clicking.
A group of camera enthusiasts will gather amateurs and professionals in a spontaneous outdoor shoot at the poblacion.
Aklan Kamera Org’s (AKO) “photowalk” on Oct. 2 is open to everyone who wishes to shoot outdoors and hang out with photographers or friends.
A photowalk is a communal activity of camera enthusiasts who gather in a group to walk around and take pictures of whatever interests them.
This year’s photowalk is already the event’s fourth edition, AKO president Loida Cordova said.
It aims to take the participants to various locations at the center of this capital town and “explore the vibrant street life.”
“It’s simple,” said Cordova. “Walkers meet at a pre-designated location — say, a mall, a plaza or at the downtown — to spend a few hours [taking pictures] and socialize with people of similar passion or interest.”
In the afternoon, there will be a free “photo talk” with multi-awarded AKO photographers, who will also name the best photowalk photos, at Lolo Maning’s Farm in Barangay Estancia.
Interested participants are encouraged to pre-register with Mark Abueg, who may be reached via mobile phone number 09461942282. Deadline is Sept. 28.
A registration fee will cover an event T-shirt and identification card and afternoon snacks. (Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
