PATNONGON, Antique – A speeding ambulance crashed into a tricycle and a motorcycle in Barangay Apgahan here on Christmas Day around 10:45 a.m. Three persons were injured.
Police identified the ambulance driver as 38-year-old Manny Allan Dionco of Barangay Barrientos here. He was going south.
The ambulance first hit a northbound tricycle driven by 29-year-old Rogelio Flores of Barangay Magsaysay.
Flores was thrown out of his tricycle and sustained injuries.
Then the ambulance swerved to the left lane and crashed against an oncoming motorcycle driven by 18-year-old Nilo Arsenio of Barangay Lublub, Valderrama town.
Arsenio had two back riders – Bian Berdin, 16, of Barangay Pacencia, Tobias Fornier town; and Kervee Marcelo, 20, of Barangay Bakyang, Valderrama.
The motorcycle riders also sustained injuries and were brought to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital along with the tricycle driver.
Meanwhile, the ambulance driver was taken to the Patnongon police station for questioning./PN
