ANDI Eigenmann is putting her old clothes to good use.
In one of her YouTube videos uploaded on Sunday, the islander mom and former actress shared how she is helping raise funds for Siargao’s health and day care centers by selling her pre-loved clothes.
“We’re here sorting our clothes – pre-loved – for our ukay-ukay this weekend,” Andi said, showing their busy household organizing clothes.
The following day, Andi and her friends set up the items for the first day of the sale, which was held at a restaurant.
They purposefully chose the location for the sale to attract the attention of the passersby in the neighborhood.
She shared that she was initially hesitant to sell her used stuff. Good thing a friend of hers had arranged a fundraiser which would be perfect to donate the proceeds of the sale to.
“Parang nahiya naman ako magbenta, but then, my good friend Marja set up a fundraiser with Isla Medical Foundation in order to improve our health center and our daycare.”
According to its Facebook page, the Isla Medical Foundation provides “medical support, supplies, and education to under-served island communities.”(Cosmopolitan)
