ILOILO City – Is the director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) on his way out of Western Visayas?

There are rumors to that effect.

Chief Supt. Josephus Angan will allegedly occupy a higher position as a two-star general in Camp Crame, the headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Rumored to replace him is an Ilonggo, Chief Supt.

Vicente Loot of the PNP Training Center.
Loot is a 1982 graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA). He traces his roots to Lambunao, Iloilo.

Angan replaced Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr. on December 19, 2013. Cruz is now the chief of anti-kidnapping group in Jolo, Sulu.
However, Regional Chief of Personnel Human Resource and Doctrine Development, Senior Supt. Marlon Ganzon, clarified that Angan had not received a relief order yet.

It is also possible that Angan will be retiring here in Region 6 in 2015.

“As of now, wala pa tayong may natanggap na relief order, not even a report that our regional director will be relieved,” Ganzon said./PN
