MANILA – Sen. Sonny Angara insisted he had no dealings with alleged pork barrel scam mastermind, Janet Lim Napoles.

A handwritten “Angara-APO” has been included in the so-called “Napolist” provided by Secretary of Justice Leila de Lima to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.

A former congressman and son of ex-senator Edgardo Angara, the young Angara said he intends to face Napoles when she appears before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.

Other whistleblowers, especially those applying to become state witnesses, must also appear in the probe, according to the newbie lawmaker.

Angara, meanwhile, confirmed there is another “Angara” who also became a House representative.

He said she is a member of a popular sorority.

Records in the House of Representatives showed that a Bellaflor Angara-Castillo served as congresswoman of Aurora province between 1995 and 2004.

She then became a governor until 2013.

Sen. Angara said his pork barrel allocations from 2004 to 2013 when he served as congressman of Aurora went only to local government units, schools and hospitals.

“In my three terms as congressman, I have never allocated any of my Priority Development Assistance Fund to any non-government organization. Records will bear me out,” he stressed./PN
